The 45th London Marathon will be taking place this Sunday, 27 April, with more than 56,000 participants taking on the 26.2 mile route from Greenwich to Buckingham Palace!
We’re incredibly proud that 61 of those runners will be taking part in support of Save the Rhino International, raising funds to protect rhinos across Africa and Asia.
Our amazing team has been working hard to raise money through cake sales, pub quizzes, and golf days, as well as raising awareness for the cause through social media. The team has done an incredible job, raising £96,406 so far. This is not just a testament to the runners, but also to the friends, families, and colleagues who have supported them along the way!
We are especially excited that 12 of our runners will be taking on the marathon in our iconic rhino costumes. Among them are:
- Rhino Boy Chris Green – Chris is one of our awesome Ambassadors, and this will be his 113th (wow!) marathon in the rhino costume
- Iain Stoddart – Taking on his first-ever marathon, and doing it in a rhino suit! Iain has even pledged to get a rhino tattoo if he reaches his fundraising goal
- Jaz Stanmore – After completing the ForRangers Ultra for Save the Rhino last year, Jaz was inspired by Rhino Boy Chris to join the rhino costume squad this year

Finally, we’d like to wish a huge, rhino-sized GOOD LUCK to our 2025 London Marathon team! We can’t wait to celebrate your incredible achievement at the finish line!
