The Great North Run, the world’s largest half-marathon, returns to Newcastle in September 2025, and we’re excited to be part of it once again!
Known for its vibrant atmosphere, lively entertainment, and the unforgettable 13.1 mile journey filled with Geordie spirit, this event raises millions for charities every year. Save the Rhino International is proud to be one of those incredible causes, and we’re looking for passionate runners to join our 2025 team!

On average, our runners typically raise around £350 each; this helps us to cover the costs of your place on the team, while also maximising the funds for rhino conservation. This may feel like a daunting figure to raise. However, there are endless ways of fundraising, from bake sales to corporate sponsorship and match funding, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!
